I love Autumn. The changing weather signals a change in the pace of life. For me, that means more nights in reading under a blanket and spending a lot of time in the library, as this September I begin my masters degree. To use up so much brain energy, I'm going to need some good fuel from my breakfasts.

The first of a series of Autumn recipes, these sweet and sticky sausages are perfect, hearty comfort food. What's more, they're simple to make and easily reheat-able, so on those chilly, early Autumn mornings you can just pop them in the oven for 10 minutes for a fuss-free breakfast fit for a king (or queen).

Ingredients
250g of chipolatas
One teaspoon of English mustard
One tablespoon of Dijon mustard
Half a teaspoon of paprika
5 tablespoons of maple syrup
A pinch of salt

Method
1) Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2) Put your chipolatas in a large bowl.
3) In a smaller bowl mix your mustards, paprika, maple syrup and salt until you have a thick, sticky glaze.
4) Smoother your sausages in the glaze.
5) Line a baking tray with grease proof paper and put your sausages into the tray. Pour over your extra glaze.
6) Cook in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until the sausages are deep brown and the sticky glaze is dark and thick. Then serve!
